Or perhaps you've seen someone wearing our unique "Vancouver, Not B.C." T Shirts or Sweatshirts. If you are from "America's Vancouver", you most likely have experienced our challenge.
We love to travel and we especially enjoy meeting new people around the world. The "icebreaker" is always "Where are you from?" That's when the fun begins! You don't have to be geographically challenged to confuse the first Vancouver, OUR American Vancouver, with the Canadian Vancouver, some seven hours by car north of us. And certainly anyone can forgive mixing up Washington State with Washington, D.C.! If we say, "we live near Portland", a thoroughly confused new friend responds, "MAINE??" We got tired of the confusion so one day, Gene designed and had these shirts made. We don't leave town without one!
If you want to learn more about Vancouver or about how our shirts became famous, click on the link below to an article in the New York Times. We have a great place to live with an interesting history and a brilliant future!
